My professional path spans academia, government, and the private sector. As an associate professor and research scientist, I’ve published over 20 peer-reviewed studies on cybersecurity, privacy, risk management, data and AI,
and human-machine interaction. My work shapes thinking on topics like algorithmic bias, risk management, behavioral security, and identity in digital environments.
In the classroom, I’ve taught graduate and undergraduate courses on machine learning, data science, data warehouse, cybersecurity management, and ethics of AI.
Earlier in my career, I held roles in product management, software development, quality assurance & testing, data engineering, and enterprise security, translating business and security needs into trusted, working systems. A stint with the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services deepened my understanding of privacy, risk, regulation, and the ethical responsibilities tied to digital transformation. I've also worked with human resources and talent acquisition organizations to fine tune efforts in recruiting technical talent.
Across all these experiences, one theme has persisted: the need to design and build systems that people can trust—not just because they work, but because they align with human values.
That belief fuels my work.
